Paquet Montagnac Bourgogne
Mathieu Paquet is a native of Burgundy and the son and grandson of a wine producer. He was born in Davayé, a village lying in the heart of the Mâconnais wine region. From an early age, Mathieu was fascinated by the world of wine and particularly by the sales and export side of the business.
In 2015, driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, Mathieu created the Paquet Montagnac Bourgogne company specialising in the distribution of wines on the export markets. Mathieu Paquet and Bordeaux négociant company Montagnac had met and decided to join forces to create a synergy between the two most famous wine regions in France: Burgundy and Bordeaux.
Mathieu set about conquering the export markets, developing an offer to meet the various needs of each of these. He therefore built up a portfolio of independent partner producers whose wines he distributed on the export market. At the same time, he put together a range of carefully selected wines, available under different labels, which could be tailored to the needs and wishes of each customer.
His aim was to promote French wines around the world and have the diversity of the French terroirs appreciated by as many wine drinkers as possible.
In 2019, as the company was experiencing rapid growth, Paquet Montagnac Bourgogne moved to premises in Charnay-Lès-Mâcon where it had a storage warehouse and a labelling line.
Thanks to our wine expertise and experience, our négociant activity developed internationally and our customers were able to choose from a concise fixed range of Burgundy and French wines. Paquet Montagnac Bourgogne became an important player in the provision of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines. Our warehouse also allowed us to offer our customers a consolidation service and our partner wine producers added convenience.
2022 will mark another milestone for Paquet Montagnac Bourgogne with the creation of a stock of wines in New Jersey, USA.
In this same year, Paquet Montagnac acquired new equipment, including a packaging line.
Today, Paquet Montagnac Bourgogne enjoys long-term partnerships with exceptional wine producers, bottling centres, suppliers, etc., who share the same high standards and thus guarantee the quality of our offer.
